Rules/Behavior

Kindergarten is a time of exploring and learning.  To help us to learn and grow in our classroom, we will be using a behavior chart.  Below is an explanation of each section.

The behavior chart will have five sections.  Every student begins on the “Ready to Learn” section.  If during the day, the student is making good decisions, being a role model, or is caught being good, they will be asked to move their clip up to the “Good Choices” or “Great Job” section.  Every time a student moves to the “Great Job,” they will earn a prize from the prize box.

If a student is having trouble following directions after a warning or not following the classroom or school rules, he/she may be asked to move their clip down on the “Warning” or “Make Better Choices” sections.  Each section has a consequence.  The “Warning” section is just a warning to remind the student to get on task.  The “Make Better Choices” section will result in the child practicing the correct behavior.

Behavior will be marked daily in the child's blue folder.  If they moved their clip throughout the day, there will be a note with an explanation.
